The Professional Development Scholarship Program supports educators in pursuing professional growth through conferences, workshops, certification programs, and specialized training. Scholarships cover registration fees, travel expenses, lodging, and stipends to ensure educators can participate fully without financial burden.
The inaugural scholarship initiative supports seven teacher-mentors—including educators from Creative Arts Charter School, Envision Academy, Gateway Public Schools, and Drew School in San Francisco—to attend the International Mentoring Association’s biennial conference in St. Petersburg, Florida, May 12-14, 2026.
The IMA Conference brings together mentoring professionals, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to explore best practices in mentorship. This year’s theme, “Mentoring Metamorphoses: Growing and Flourishing in an Era of Change,” addresses how mentoring relationships can adapt and thrive in evolving educational contexts. The three-day conference includes keynote presentations, research sessions, practical workshops, and networking opportunities that directly strengthen participants’ mentorship practice.
By supporting teacher-mentors’ attendance at this international conference, the scholarship program amplifies impact across multiple schools and mentee teachers, advancing mentorship quality throughout the educational communities these educators serve.
