Earthwise Knowledge Initiative Launches Educator Scholarship Program for 2026 IMA Conference
Earthwise Knowledge Initiative has launched the first scholarship initiative of the EKI Educator Collaborative, supporting educator participation in the 2026 International Mentoring Association Annual Conference, May 12–14, in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The International Mentoring Association is a leading professional organization for practitioners, researchers, and program developers working in mentoring across education, business, and community settings. The annual conference brings together educators and organizational leaders to share research, instructional practice, and program development strategies.
Through the EKI Educator Collaborative, Earthwise will fund scholarships covering conference registration, travel, lodging, and per diem support for selected recipients, contingent on available funding. Applications are now open and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
The scholarship program reflects EKI’s commitment to strengthening the quality of education by expanding access to high-quality professional learning opportunities. The Collaborative operates from a clear premise: educators should not have to pay out of pocket for their own professional growth, and access to rigorous development opportunities should not depend solely on district budgets.
This initiative marks the beginning of expanded educator development work through the EKI Educator Collaborative, including future partnerships in curriculum design, mentoring frameworks, and structured professional learning.
Earthwise Knowledge Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization advancing public understanding through education and independent journalism focused on science, environmental issues, and history.
